We love the expressions of delight when an Author previews 
their topic 
for the first time.



Quick Start ...


From the side menu

Create 

Create New Topic

  1.  Record the topic name and classification details  - "Certification" tab

  2.  Add Terms - Enter terms and their attributes - "Terms" tab

  3.  Add ImagesFind, trim and insert relevant images

  4.  Add Video - Add an educational video (optional)

  5.  Preview and test for succinctness on Page 3 - "Preview" tab

Plan / Think

 

Who’s your audience?


What’s their vocabulary?


What’s their stage of development?


What do you want them to know / comprehend ?


How much information can they take in?


List the terms for each Topic and gather simple clear images, drawings or diagrams to illustrate each one. Tap into their brain's picture index.


N.B. Consider multiple short topics for each subject. We recommend:

 -   5 terms per topic for early childhood
 -   5-10 terms per topic for childhood
 -   10-15 terms per topic for early adolescence
 -   5-20 terms per topic for community and professional students

Capture the topic catalogue information:

Zone 1  -  Topic name, description, audience, domain / subject

Zone 2  -  Author's employment type

Zone 3  -  Author's employer

Zone 4  -  Topic availability

Zone 5  -  Topic type and columns to display

Zone 6  -  Confirm the T's and C's

Zone 7  -  Topic status and approval

Tab 2 - Add Terms

Add terms down the page

Add attributes across the page

Add small images (mandatory) and large images (optional but preferred)

Add external video links

Upload preferred pronunciation (optional)

Save

N.B.  change the order of the terms by dragging the row

N.B.  delete a term by clicking X


Tab 3 - Preview

"Preview" the topic and test for succinctness


Return to Tab 2 - "Terms"  to
 -  edit any tile and save
 -  change the order of terms 
and save


Then ...


Submit

Return to Tab 1 “Certification”

Page down to zone 7 - "Topic Status" 

and select “Submitted”
